These Terms set out the agreement between you and [COMPANY] (“we”, “us”, “our”) when you book or attend classes through our website. By purchasing or attending a class, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
[COMPANY], a company registered in England and Wales. Registered address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Contact: [SUPPORT_EMAIL].
2. Our services
We provide one-to-one and small-group English-language tuition online, including IELTS preparation, Cambridge exam preparation, Business English, and conversation practice. Classes are typically 50 minutes long unless otherwise stated on the product page.
3. Booking and payment
- All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable VAT.
- Payment is taken in advance through Stripe. Once payment clears, your classes are credited to your account and a receipt is emailed to you.
- Class packs (e.g. the One-month course) are valid for the duration stated on the product page from the date of purchase.
4. Scheduling and cancellation
- You can book individual class slots through our scheduling link after purchase. Slots must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, subject to tutor availability.
- You may reschedule or cancel an individual class slot up to 24 hours before its start time at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the class credit, except in cases of genuine emergency at our discretion.
- If we have to cancel a class due to tutor illness or technical issues, we will offer you a free reschedule.
5. Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
You have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of the date of payment, with no reason required. This is separate from our refund policy.
If you have already attended any classes during the 14-day cancellation period, we will deduct a fair amount for the services already provided (typically the per-class price for any classes attended) before refunding the balance.
To exercise your right to cancel, email us at [SUPPORT_EMAIL] within 14 days. Refunds are issued via the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.
6. Refund policy beyond the 14-day window
See our Refund Policy for details about refund eligibility outside the statutory 14-day cancellation period.
7. Your conduct in lessons
We expect respectful, constructive behaviour from all students. We reserve the right to terminate a class early and, in serious or repeated cases, refuse further classes, if a student is abusive, threatening, or attends under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refund will be issued in such cases.
8. Intellectual property
All teaching materials, recordings, and notes provided by us remain our property or the property of their original creators. You may use them for your own personal learning. You may not redistribute, resell, or publish them in whole or in part without our written permission.
9. Recordings
Lesson recordings, where included, are made and shared with you for revision purposes. You consent to recordings of your classes being made and stored for that purpose. You may not share lesson recordings publicly without our consent.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL, and we'll update the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes affecting active customers will also be emailed. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
